TBIRD Design Services partnered with the development team to provide surveying, civil engineering, traffic signal design, and construction administration services for The Rambler, located near State Street in West Lafayette. TBIRD’s work began with an ALTA/NSPS Land Title Survey, topographic surveying, private utility coordination, conceptual engineering, due diligence, and consultation with the project team and local reviewing agencies. As the development moved into construction, TBIRD provided preconstruction coordination, shop drawing and payment application reviews, responses to contractor questions, construction observation, change-order support, and substantial completion services. The redevelopment also required the realignment of Howard Avenue and modifications to the existing traffic signal at River Road, including the relocation of signal poles and mast arms, updated vehicle and pedestrian detection, construction plans and specifications, cost estimating, bid assistance, and construction-phase support. Through its multidisciplinary involvement, TBIRD is helping coordinate the site, roadway, utility, and traffic infrastructure needed to support this significant redevelopment near downtown West Lafayette.
